About Nina

Nina Adkins has been a practicing Registered Nurse for over 35 years.  She recently retired as the Director of the Albuquerque Public School’s Practical Nurse Program. 

Nina began watercolor painting to express her more creative side in 1986.   Nina loves color and the Southwest and it is evident in her perception of familiar surroundings.  She has studied with many nationally known artists.   Nina obtained Signature Member status of the New Mexico Watercolor Society  in 1995. 

Nina has been on the Board of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and the Signature Member Group in several different roles.  She is currently the Co-Chair for the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibition to be held in Albuquerque, NM in 2002.  Her paintings hang in private collections in the United States and abroad.
